Happy Mommie Dearest Day

I Love you so much!!!!

Made Jeza pose for this photo because I luv this bush so very much.
He came to me because you decided to marry Harry and leave that studio on Balboa. Then you moved to Oregan. So the dieing Gardenia bush made it to my house, much like the other plant in the pot behind her. I planted the Gardenia in my new home and it's been healthy and happy ever since.

It has given me much joy, as you have as my mum. I love you so very much and I'm reminded of your love every day.

Sorry Birdie...

Sucks when you enjoy and feel good about feeding the bird population and you find this in your back yard -
It's not Jeza, she can hardly keep up with me jogging. I was home most of last week because I got sick. I never get sick. The last time I got THAT sick I was in college living with Kari and Amy in that wanna be house by the beach. Juniors in college and some people rented us a house that was really a trailer (thank god no tornadoes in Santa Cruz). Any how, I'll never forget not being able to get off that moldy couch because my fever was so bad...
Being the Sam that I am tried so hard not to be sick this time. Wash face, put on "cleaner" sweats, etc. Chuck would ask me what I was doing, where I was going? "To the couch"...

So I sat on the couch and watched movies and read books and there is a damn cat that hunts in my yard. Serious National Geographic in my back yard!!!!

Ears and IPod

I've found my "ill fit".

I have been thin and evenly portioned, and now over weight and evenly portioned (and those that love me say I'm "big boned", but I know better!!!) Needless to say, it's not like I have some huge butt. It's just Vernetta getting smaller or Vernetta getting larger...

And I've always had a big head, so that's nothing new. Sadly, my neice inherited that trait. She's 8 and fits in my riding helmet...

Any WWWhhhhooo

For Christmas I got an IPod. I love it. I realize it's nothing new, but...

I Love IT!!

Since Joe's running with me in spirit and Jeza can't make the track, I'm on my own. The Pod has made me run faster.

But the earphones suck! My Freakishly small ears, for my Huge head, can not handle the ear-pods.

If something on this body is going to be small, glad it's not my boobs...

The house, THE HOUSE...

The poor, old house is not used to 3 people living in it. So far the shelving in the garage has rebelled, as well as the washer and dryer.

Imagine, for years all you've had to hold up are some coolers and rat poop. Then one day you have tons of shit piled up, what do you do? Sag. I too would sag. The house shelves must have loved me because they only sagged and didn't dump everything on the floor. They have been great house shelves, but now we have these:
I will always remember the old house shelves, but I'm loving these new cabinets. They are the bomb!!!

The washer complained about over work and decided to stop spinning. I must admit, he would spin for me, when I gave him a light load, but cursed everyone else. I tried to comfort and fix him but he wasn't up for the job. He liked coasting on a couple of jobs a week. The dryer suffered from his work ethic and couldn't hold up the non-spun new system and quietly gave up. So I had to buy these:

They love each other and work together. The washer tells his mate, the dryer, what the load is coming in and they are so happy together. And they have a new cupboard for the washing stuff (not seen in photo) that they love. Some day Jeza's box will live elsewhere...

These are all great, super duper, HUGE things!!! My big thing is parking MY cars in the garage. So we built a barn. A great barn, HUGE! "We" (Chuck) has painfully built the barn as it took him weeks. As he reminds me every time we look at it "Assembles in two hours". It took me longer than that to screw the screws into the wood. Needless to say, the barn is built and we have enough stuff in it that a car fits in the garage. Here's the barn:

Cute, no? We are gonna paint it and put up flowers, make it look pretty...

I love the barn, the new pantries, the washer/dryer, the extra room in the garage. It's great... But what is wrong with this picture:

That's not HOOF(heart)ED, is it???? Nope. That's the car the kids blew the engine out of and Chuck just got fixed but is not registered for driving (non-op) and is living here until...
I gotta laugh, no?

It's Official

We've shacked up... again...

It seems like he's been moving in for months now, which I guess he has... It has been the longest move I've ever experienced but yesterday was the final day. I know this because I got to get down on my hands and knees and scrub the kitchen floor and wash windows. Yep, had a great time........... not....

With all the furniture we have together we did some moving around, getting rid of, selling (still selling) and mom wanted to see the new digs so here are some pictures.

The rearranged living room with couch now facing garden. I like it a lot as the room is a bunch bigger now but hate that I can't see the TV from the patio so we are going to put a mirror behind the sofa. I know it's sad, I must be able to watch the TV at all times when it's on...

Here's the wall unit on the shorter wall. We sold one of the book cases (for 30 bucks on Craig's list... why bother????)

The new dining room from Chuck's house fits great. We can actually sit down to a family dinner now instead of eating in the living room in front of the TV. Yea, we've done it once and it was nice...

And my favorite... The garage that I can no longer park in.... He promises it won't be forever...
